These images were captured in ancient National Trust forests in Kent, England. My aim with this collection first and foremost was to record what I see every time I walk through a forest. I find the parallels between the natural world and human anatomy wonderfully strange. This special relationship between man and nature has, of course, been explored to varying degrees by other artists before me. I've attempted to add another dimension to that tradition. For me, these images collectively form a unique and strangely morbid environment that exists in parallel with the commonly perceived natural world. Most of these trees have been around since long before any of us were born. The stories they tell are timeless and reflect the biological imperative at the core of mankind's story.
